example 1: emergency action plan training reflection
Description
This paper is a reflection about my experience as member of a team who was responsible for creating two modules of instruction for a real-world client in an instructional media development course (IT 578). Rationale The reflection demonstrates how I perceived my ability to work with others collaboratively and reflectively. Our class worked together on a project for Roane State Community College where we developed, implemented, and evaluated instructional media in a real-world context. At the end of the semester I was able to step back and think about how those experiences of working with my peers helped me to grow in my instructional design practice. example 2: interview a professional in the field
Description
For this assignment for my first class in the instructional technology master’s program (IT 521), I conducted an interview with an instructional technology professional. Rationale By talking to my school’s building level technology coordinator (BLTC), I was able to gain insight into a part of the profession that I was interested in pursuing in the future. He gave me a clear picture of his responsibilities and a peek into his daily schedule. As I interviewed him in order to to understand his job better, I was able to see how I might one day work in a similar situation where strong collaboration skills would be a great asset.
